CD-S303 Black
Description
High-quality CD player with easy operation and special functions such as Pure Direct, Intelligent Digital Servo Drive, USB, MP3/WMA/LPCM/FLAC compatible.
Product information
Inheriting many sound quality characteristics from high-end CD player components, the CD-S303 CD player delivers sound that will satisfy the discerning music fan. In addition to CDs, it also provides high-quality playback of music files stored on USB memory devices via the USB port on the front panel.
Pure Direct mode
The CD-S303 offers the Pure Direct feature that is equally popular in Yamaha amplifiers and receivers. Pressing the button on the front panel or on the remote control turns off the digital audio output and turns off the display. In this way, the minimum possible level of noise interference and, therefore, the highest sound quality of the analog audio output is achieved.
Extremely complex desoldering and layout scheme.
Yamaha engineers have devoted a lot of time and effort to the development of the overall internal arrangement of parts and printed circuit boards, which significantly affects the sound quality. As a result, the power supplies for the motor drive, display and USB sections, as well as the digital and analog sections, are individually isolated, preventing electromagnetic interference between them. To achieve an ideal weight balance for stable operation, the drive mechanism is located in the center of the device.
Well-chosen, high-quality details
Each of the individual elements of a CD player affects the sound quality, so Yamaha puts a lot of effort into the selection and matching of parts and materials. A high-quality acoustic capacitor, a new low-noise amplifier with a high bandwidth, and the use of damping material under the transformer and around the signal cables are just a few examples of Yamaha's commitment to high-quality sound. In short, the internal sophistication of the CD-S303 is at a level usually found in much more expensive models.
High-performance digital-to-analog converter
Using a 192kHz/24-bit DAC, the high-performance digital-to-analog conversion system takes full advantage of the digital technology Yamaha has perfected over the years, delivering excellent conversion accuracy, signal-to-noise ratio and dynamic range.
