The upper platform is made of steel with the addition of carbon fiber. The base is made of MDF, coated with piano varnish. Built-in cable management system. The metal structures of the racks are laser cut from high carbon stainless steel. All legs are equipped with carpet piercing spikes made from hardened high carbon steel.
A well-designed and constructed speaker stand is required to raise the high-frequency drivers of bookshelf speakers to ear level for ideal vertical dispersion. This clever design reduces vibration and resonance of the speaker cabinet, effectively isolating the speaker from the floor and surroundings. The guaranteed result is significantly improved speaker performance.
Each ELYSIAN 2 speaker stand has been designed to complement Wharfedale's natural wideband performance; and also provide a piece of furniture that the owner can rightfully be proud of. As with the speaker cabinet, the baseplate is handcrafted using real piano finish varnishes and further hand polished to six levels of depth for a truly beautiful finish.
