It is based on class D amplification with a power reserve of approximately 2 × 125–140 W, so it easily opens even demanding floor or bookshelf speakers. This is not a “compact streamer”, but a full-fledged sound center for one zone - a room, living room or even a studio space.

MA.1 is designed to simplify life as much as possible: you connect the speakers - and get access to all streaming without additional boxes. AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, as well as Bluetooth LE Audio are supported. A separate important point is HDMI eARC, that is, the TV directly becomes a source of high-quality sound without soundbars and compromises.

By nature, MA.1 is very “clean” and neutral. It does not add its own coloring, but simply gives the speakers what they can do, but with proper control: tight bass, open midrange and neat high frequencies without sharpness. This is exactly the case when the system sounds not like a gadget, but as a complete audio infrastructure.

It is worth mentioning the VSSL installation approach separately: support for PoE/network management, integration with smart home systems and the VSSL CNCT proprietary application, which allows you to combine several zones and control everything from one interface.

In short, the VSSL MA.1 is a universal “serious” streaming amplifier for those who want a modern multiroom or just one perfectly assembled system without unnecessary components, but with a full set of streaming and television integration.
