EP-136 K.O. Sidekick

Designed as the perfect companion for samplers, this model combines two stereo channels with dedicated level faders, an AUX input, three EQ modes (DJ, Studio, Parametric), a compressor on each channel and six performative effects with a pressure-sensitive FX panel. It is designed to provide instant, tactile control over the mix, with the ability to be powered by AAA batteries or USB-C, making it the ideal tool for both the home studio and the stage.

The unit has two full stereo channels (CH1, CH2) with a ±24 dB gain range, dedicated level faders and compressors with three modes for controlling dynamics on each channel. Three EQ styles allow you to choose the appropriate character of tonal shaping: DJ curve for quick changes, studio mode for more balanced shaping or parametric approach (Parametric) for precise correction. An additional stereo AUX/Session In input allows you to connect a third source for backing tracks or external synthesizers, and a Cue output allows you to preview the signal before triggering.

Teenage Engineering EP-136 K.O. Sidekick is equipped with six performative effects, including delay, looping, tremolo, filtering and more, which can be applied in real time. The two effect blocks can be configured in series (Series) or parallel (Parallel). The pressure-sensitive FX pad (force sensitive effects pad) and high-resolution manipulator (mod stick) allow you to control the parameters of the effects through movements and pressure, adding expressiveness. The built-in Tap-FX Sequencer™ (Motion Control) allows you to automate the change of effects in rhythm with a length of up to 2 bars, which is ideal for live remixing and creating rhythmic variations.

The stereo mixer works as a full-fledged 8-input, 4-output USB audio interface (USB Audio 2.0, 48 kHz / 24 bit), allowing you to record each channel separately in your DAW. This makes it the centerpiece of your studio or stage setup. Thanks to the unique EP Pegs system, multiple units can be physically connected (snap together) to expand the number of channels, creating a modular system of any size. Power is provided by two AAA batteries (up to 2 years in standby mode) or via USB-C.
