The SL-1300G's use of a brushless direct drive motor without an iron core eliminates the uneven rotation of the platter known as "cogwheeling". In addition, the dual-rotor design reduces bearing load while maintaining high torque, and reduces fine vibrations during rotation. The SL-1300G's motor has been redesigned to eliminate fine vibrations that could affect sound quality. To improve rigidity, the same reinforcement pattern as that used in the reference-class SL-1000R/SP 10R models has been used for the voice coil mounting base.

Explore the realm of sound precision with ΔΣ-Drive, a cutting-edge system that utilizes Technics' expertise in PWM signal processing. In addition to reducing harmonics, the drive suppresses vibrations from the motor for smoother and more precise rotation, delivering rich music reproduction.

The tonearm, the most important component for accurate playback, tracks the rotation of the record. Inherited from Technics, it uses a lightweight, rigid aluminum tube in the traditional universal S-shape with static balance. With a gimbal suspension and high-precision bearing, it achieves high sensitivity to initial movements thanks to manual assembly by skilled Japanese craftsmen. This meticulous design ensures that the grooves of the record are accurately copied. In addition, it includes an auxiliary mass that provides flexibility for various cartridges.
