Direct drive motor without collector
Achieving consistent rotation
The SL-1300G's use of a direct-drive, iron-core brushless motor eliminates the uneven rotation of the disk, known as “jagging.” In addition, the twin-rotor design reduces bearing loads while maintaining high torque and reduces fine vibrations during rotation. In addition, the SL 1300G's motor has been redesigned to eliminate subtle vibrations that could affect sound quality. To improve rigidity, the same reinforcement scheme was used for the coil mounting base as in the reference class SL-1000R/SP 10R models.
Motor drive system, ΔΣ
Drive (Delta Sigma Drive)
Explore the realm of audio precision with ΔΣ-Drive, a state-of-the-art system that leverages Technics' expertise in PWM signal processing. In addition to reducing harmonics, the drive suppresses vibrations from the motor for smoother, more precise rotation, delivering rich music reproduction.
Sensitivity to initial motion
The tonearm, the most important component for accurate reading, tracks the rotation of the record. Inherited from Technics, it uses a lightweight, rigid aluminum tube in the traditional universal S-shape with static balance. Thanks to its gimbal suspension and high-precision bearing, it achieves high sensitivity to initial movements through hand-assembly by skilled Japanese craftsmen. This meticulous construction ensures that the grooves of the record are exactly replicated. In addition, it includes a support weight that provides flexibility for different cartridges.
Features:
1. Direct-drive motor without collector ensures stable rotation
2. ΔΣ-Drive suppresses vibrations from the motor for smoother, more accurate rotation
3. Anti-vibration design with three-layer plate and double-layer chassis
4. Low noise, low voltage power circuit and switching power supply.
5. Tonearm with high sensitivity to initial motion
6. Highly rigid housing and high-damping silicon isolators for smooth sound and isolation from various vibrations
