From the first seconds it becomes clear: the UD-507 plays calmly, confidently and very cleanly. Without sharpness, without a "digital" flavor, without obsessive analytics. The headphone part is a separate story. A powerful but controlled amplifier easily copes with both sensitive and serious full-size models. The sound in the headphones is voluminous, with excellent dynamics and very good transmission of micro-details. Without dryness, without aggression - you want to listen for a long time.
As a preamplifier, the UD-507 behaves as correctly as possible: the volume is adjusted smoothly, with a sense of accuracy and control, and the feed remains stable at any level. Paired with a power amplifier, such as the AP-507, it reveals itself as a real center of the system - clean, transparent and very mature.
Design - classic TEAC Reference: restrained, metal, with branded arrow indicators. Nothing superfluous, but the feeling of premium technology is present in every detail.
