Description
The Turnberry GR is an illustration of Tannoy's traditional approach to loudspeakers. The drivers, enclosures, crossovers and final assembly are still handcrafted at the factory in Scotland. Tannoy's trademark Dual Concentric driver used in Turnberry has a diameter of 25 cm and its cone is traditionally made of in-house developed cellulose pulp. The cabinets, made of birch plywood, are covered with natural walnut veneer. The branding on the front panel with the letters GR and a crown emphasizes the aristocratic breed of the series and is designed to distinguish Gold Reference from other Prestige models. The new GR series is completed by a gold-plated speaker cap and a massive front panel tuning terminal bar made of gold-anodized aluminum, engraved with the series name and the legendary first Tannoy logo with lightning bolts.
