Tannoy PLATINUM B6 Bookshelf speakers are classic Hi-Fi monitors that will appeal to many music lovers. The acoustics are made in MDF housings with deep internal damping, additionally reinforced with internal ties. Thanks to this, the Tannoy Platinum B6 design has good resistance to vibration and resonance. The side walls of the speaker cabinets are made slightly curved, which prevents the possibility of internal standing waves.

The bottom of the Tannoy Platinum B6 speakers has a contrasting finish compared to the rest of the surface, which gives this model an original appearance. The speaker systems are equipped with high-quality speakers, the design of which has been optimized for use in models of this series. The woofer in the Tannoy Platinum B6 has a diameter of 6.5 inches and is equipped with a cone made of impregnated paper and composite materials. With high rigidity and resistance to resonances, such diffusers are able to move quickly with a large amplitude, since they are light in weight.

The tweeter in the Tannoy Platinum B6 features a 1-inch soft silk dome and a neodymium magnet system. On the front panel, the tweeter is supplemented with a small horn-sound guide, which increases its efficiency and evens out the polar pattern. The speakers are connected to a crossover filter designed by Tannoy, which is manufactured from selected components using a wall-mounted process. A pair of reliable screw terminals are provided for connection to the amplifier. Thanks to their stable impedance and relatively high sensitivity, the speakers are compatible with a wide variety of integrated amplifiers and AV receivers.

On the rear panel of the Tannoy Platinum B6 there is a bass reflex output hole. Despite its relatively small size, the acoustics reproduce fairly deep bass and are capable of fully sounding a medium-sized room. The Tannoy Platinum B6s are great for stereos and home theaters, and with their balanced and dynamic sound, they handle a wide range of music genres very well.
