The main difference of the Light version is the new one-piece headband without the hinged joints of the classic HD 25. This solution makes the headphones extremely light - only around 120 g - and at the same time maintains a secure fit on the head thanks to a contact force of around 2.5 N. The closed supraaural ear cups (which fit against the ear, rather than covering it) provide sufficient isolation from external noise, even in loud club environments or on film sets. The 1.5 m long, double-sided detachable cable simplifies replacement in case of wear - there is no need to change the entire headphone.
The acoustic part is provided by a dynamic closed emitter with a frequency range of 16 Hz - 22,000 Hz and a nominal impedance of 70 Ohms. The headphones can withstand sound pressure levels of up to 120 dB, which makes them suitable for use in clubs, on stage and other environments with high volume levels, and a harmonic distortion factor of less than 0.3% at a frequency of 1 kHz guarantees transmission purity even at the limit of capabilities. The result is a tight, controlled bass, expressive midrange and detailed, uncolored high frequencies, for which the HD 25 has earned the status of a working tool for professionals.
