The RB-1590 was developed for the most demanding audiophiles and delivers the highest level of sound quality. To maintain the amplifier’s performance at the top level, it is equipped with thermal protection circuits, overload and surge protection, as well as a two-stage power-up relay that reduces inrush current and extends the device's lifespan.
The impressive features of this amplifier start with a solid foundation: two massive custom-made toroidal transformers from Rotel. These transformers are part of a carefully engineered power supply that includes eight British-made BHC capacitors. Known for their low losses and fast response, these capacitors provide stable delivery of required voltage and current even under the most challenging load conditions.
Rotel’s philosophy goes beyond mere power. Every aspect of the design is crafted with high precision, and each component is carefully selected after extensive listening tests. The true monoblock design of the circuit ensures optimal signal separation and enhanced stereo imaging, creating a realistic soundstage.
Key features include balanced XLR and RCA inputs, two pairs of speaker terminals (with 5-step adjustment), 12V trigger control, an advanced protection system (thermal protection, overload and surge protection), a two-stage power-up relay to reduce inrush current and increase longevity, as well as a detachable IEC power cable. All of this is housed in a sturdy 5U chassis with rack-mounting brackets.
