The Rotel RA-1572MKII complete amplifier works in AB-class and is an updated version of the RA-1572 model, which received improved circuitry, an optimized power supply and a carefully thought-out final stage. According to Rotel, 33 elements in key segments of the chain were replaced. Thanks to such changes, it was possible to improve the transient characteristics and provide a natural detailed sound with a surround soundstage.
The Rotel RA-1572MKII power supply is equipped with a large toroidal transformer, which works in conjunction with four high-efficiency foil capacitors with perforated covers with a capacity of 10,000 μF each, which allowed to obtain a deep, well-controlled bass. As a result, this model is capable of delivering 120 watts per channel at an eight-ohm load and a maximum of 200 watts at 4 ohms.
Instead of the built-in AKM DAC used in the predecessor RA-1572, the updated amplifier received a Texas Instruments chip that works with a PCM signal up to 32 bits/384 kHz and with files in the MQA and MQA Studio formats, which is important when playing streaming content. To fully reveal the capabilities of the new DAC, it is necessary to connect it via the asynchronous PC-USB input, which is located on the back panel of the amplifier. The built-in Bluetooth module supports AAC and aptX audio codecs. The amplifier also received the Roon Tested certificate, which guarantees support for Roon software, which allows you to organize an interactive home audio library.
The Rotel RA-1572MKII integrated amplifier is equipped with a set of linear inputs, including balanced XLR. There is also an MM phono stage input for connecting vinyl players. There is a Pre Out output and two RCA connectors for connecting subwoofers. In addition to asynchronous USB (PC-USB), there are two additional USB ports on board, one of which is located on the front panel and is intended for playing audio from iPhone, iPad and iPod, and the second is built into the rear panel and is used only for charging USB- devices There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack on the front. Digital S/PDIF inputs are represented by two coaxial and two optical connectors, and the Ethernet interface serves for integration into a local network in order to control the Rotel RA-1572MKII IP address. There is an RS-232 interface, a pair of trigger outputs and an IR input port. To connect the amplifier with acoustic systems, four pairs of screw terminals are used, which allow you to organize biamping or biwiring.
The Rotel RA-1572MKII model has an all-metal body with an informative 2-line display built into its front. The set also includes a standard remote control.
