Description
The Rotel DT-6000 is a top-of-the-line Diamond CD player and DAC, created specifically for the brand's 60th anniversary. At first glance, it impresses with its sleek design and solid construction, but the real value lies inside - in how it sounds.
Product information
At the heart of the device is a high-quality ESS SABRE ES9028PRO digital-to-analog converter, which operates in fully balanced mode. This means minimal distortion, excellent resolution and true transparency of sound - regardless of whether a disc or a digital stream is playing.
The DT-6000 is not just a CD player. It is also a full-fledged DAC for external sources: via USB you can feed PCM up to 32-bit / 384kHz, DSD256, MQA and MQA Studio are supported. There are also coaxial and optical inputs. Outputs are both balanced XLR and the usual RCA.
The way this device delivers music - emotionally, massively, accurately - is truly impressive. It does not artificially "pull out" details, does not press analytics. Instead, it gives a deep, "adult" sound with a sense of space, dynamics and holistic presentation. Everything is in place here.
Power supply is a special pride. A self-wound toroidal transformer with isolated power lines for digital and analog circuits. Thanks to this, the DT-6000 works quietly, stably and very cleanly.
The design is restrained, laconic, in the style of the Diamond Series: a dark gray case, minimalism on the facade, a display with white font. This is a device that does not attract attention with its form - but completely captivates with its content.
