The Reloop RP-8000 MK2 belongs to the second type - it is not just a top-of-the-line direct-drive DJ player, but a full-fledged hybrid instrument, developed in collaboration with famous international turntable players. Here, every detail, from the massive cast aluminum disc to the 8 RGB pad controllers, is subordinated to one goal: to unleash the maximum creative potential behind the turntables.

The RP-8000 MK2 is powered by a quartz direct top drive motor based on a 16-pole 3-phase brushless motor. The starting torque is adjustable from 2.8 to 4.5 kg/cm, allowing you to fine-tune the response of the turntable to your own playing style, from soft to aggressive. The acceleration time to operating speed is less than 0.2 seconds, and the detonation and unevenness of rotation are only 0.01% WRMS. The braking speed of the turntable is adjustable from 0.2 to 6 seconds - from a sharp stop to a smooth fade. Three speeds are supported: 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm.
The cast aluminum platter, 332 mm in diameter and weighing about 1.5 kg, has rubber inserts to reduce vibrations and unwanted resonances - even in a club environment with powerful bass, the player remains stable.
The RP-8000 MK2 is equipped with a statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with a hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The newly developed tonearm base provides increased rigidity and allows for height adjustment (VTA) in the range of 0–6 mm. The tonearm is made of brushed aluminum with minimal resonant behavior; its effective length is 230 mm, the offset angle is 22°, and the tracking range is less than 3°. Cartridge connection is according to the SME standard; the permissible cartridge weight is from 3.5 to 8.5 g (with headshell - 13–18 g).
This is where the RP-8000 MK2 goes beyond the classic turntable. Eight large RGB pad controllers with customizable backlighting provide access to seven modes in conjunction with Serato DJ Pro: Cue, Sampler, Saved Loops, Pitch Play, Loop, Loop Roll and Slicer, as well as two user-assignable modes. All this works on the principle of plug-and-play - the RP-8000 MK2 is an official Serato accessory.
The unique Platter Play mode turns the pads into a MIDI keyboard for controlling the speed of the platter: 22 scales and 34 notes are available, and you can create up to 9 of your own scales. This allows you to play melodies directly using the turntable - without additional equipment. The player can also be controlled from an external MIDI keyboard.
The digital LC display shows the current pitch, BPM, deck assignment, scale, notes, track time and firmware parameters - all the necessary information in front of your eyes without having to look at the laptop screen. The pitch fader with a resolution of 0.02% supports three ranges: ±8%, ±16% and ±50% (Ultra Pitch). The quartz lock function fixes stable revolutions regardless of the fader position.
The smart USB connection allows you to connect up to four players simultaneously - they automatically distribute roles among themselves and assign deck numbers, while only one is connected to the computer. The multi-encoder on the panel allows you to browse playlists and load tracks into the deck without touching the laptop.
The RP-8000 MK2 case is made more massive and heavier compared to the previous version - a combination of metal, rubber and structural polymer provides resistance to vibrations from heavy bass. Anti-vibration feet further isolate the player from the floor. The surface is covered with a scratch-resistant black metallic lacquer.
The recessed rear panel allows for convenient installation in a flight case. There are two analog outputs (Phono/Line) with gold-plated connectors, a ground terminal and a USB type B port. The power and RCA cables are detachable, which simplifies transportation.
