There are turntables where the list of features takes up more space than the music itself. The RP-7000 MK2 is not one of those. It is a focused, heavy and reliable direct-drive DJ turntable, built for one task: to flawlessly execute a set in any conditions - from a club boombox to an open festival. No pads, no MIDI, no unnecessary buttons. Just a powerful motor, a precise tonearm and 11.7 kg of well-designed hardware. The RP-7000 MK2 is based on a 16-pole 3-phase brushless motor with quartz control and direct top drive. The starting torque is 2.8 kg/cm, the maximum adjustable torque is 4.5 kg/cm: enough for confident cueing, aggressive scratching and stable speed maintenance even under pressure on the disc. Acceleration time to operating speed is less than 0.2 seconds. The brake is electronic, with an adjustable stop time from 0.2 to 6 seconds: from a sharp impact to a smooth decay.
Three speeds are supported: 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. Quartz lock (Quartz Lock) fixes zero pitch regardless of the fader position.
The RP-7000 MK2 chassis is made heavier and stiffer than the first version: a combination of metal, rubber and structural polymer gives the body that effectively absorbs vibrations from powerful club bass. Shock-absorbing feet additionally isolate the player from the floor. The surface is covered with scratch-resistant black metallic varnish - or classic silver in the Silver version. Weight - 11.7 kg: this turntable will not go anywhere during the set.
The cast aluminum disk with a diameter of 332 mm and a mass of about 1.5 kg has rubber inserts to dampen vibrations and unwanted resonances.
The statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with a hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism is mounted on a new reinforced base with height adjustment in the range of 0–6 mm. Connection - according to the SME standard.
The pitch fader supports three ranges: ±8%, ±16% and ±50% (Ultra Pitch). The adjustable tempo scale allows for precise positioning. Reverse buttons provide switching between forward and reverse playback - separate from the standard control functions.
An additional start/stop button on the side panel allows for confident use of the player in a vertical battle position. The newly designed aluminum LED stylus light rotates freely and is removable for replacement. The recessed rear connection panel allows the RP-7000 MK2 to be installed in a flight case without gaps.
The built-in phono equalizer with Phono/Line switching allows connection to the line input of a mixer or amplifier without a ground terminal. Gold-plated RCA connectors and a separate GND terminal are available for more complex configurations. The power and RCA cables are negative.
