Description

Some things don't need a revolution - they just need evolution done right. That's the idea behind the Reloop RP-5000 MK4: a direct-drive turntable in the upper mid-range price range, built on the proven foundation of the RP-5000 series and brought up to the level of modern club requirements. A new brushless DC motor, a redesigned housing with improved damping, gold-plated outputs and carefully thought-out ergonomics - all for those who take vinyl playing seriously.

The heart of the RP-5000 MK4 is a ground-up 8-pole, 3-phase, quartz-controlled, direct-drive brushless DC motor. Its torque is 2.5 kg/cm, a level sufficient for confident performance in a club environment: fast acceleration (start time less than 1 second), stable cueing response and reliable scratching behavior. The motor characteristics are carefully calibrated to minimize detonation and uneven rotation: typical Wow and Flutter is less than 0.08% WTD at 3 kHz RMS. Signal-to-noise ratio is over 60 dB (typical). An electronic brake ensures a controlled stop of the disc.

Three speeds are supported: 33 1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. A new internal switching power supply further reduces noise and improves sound clarity.

The RP-5000 MK4’s redesigned chassis features enhanced damping and new anti-vibration feet designed specifically for this model. The result is a turntable that is resistant to resonances from powerful club sound, where every bass hit potentially threatens playback stability.

The 332mm diameter cast aluminum platter is precision machined. The recessed rear connection panel allows the turntable to integrate into any environment without taking up space behind the connectors — including the battle position.

The statically balanced S-shaped tonearm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism (range 0–7g) is equipped with a universal connection for SME standard cartridges. The permissible cartridge weight is from 3.5 to 8.5g. The tracking force adjustment range is 0–4g, the tracking error angle is less than 3°, and the stylus travel is 15mm.

The clickless pitch fader supports three ranges: ±8%, ±16% and ±50% (Ultra Pitch) - from classic club to extreme for creative manipulation. The pitch reset button and clearly marked tempo scale allow you to instantly return to the zero position even in the middle of a set. There is a reverse function for switching between direct and reverse playback.

The phono output with gold-plated contacts guarantees minimal signal loss. The power cables (IEC) and RCA are negative, which greatly simplifies transportation and replacement. The built-in LED needle light is turned on with a button. There is a slot for storing a 45 rpm adapter right on the case - a trifle that anyone who plays with different formats will appreciate.
