Description
The REGA Exact type MM cartridge is equipped with a diamond needle with a proprietary "Vital" sharpening, which is mounted on a non-removable cantilever. The needle with this sharpening fits into the groove of the recording more precisely than the needle with the usual elliptical sharpening and allows you to get a better reproduction of recordings.
The body of the pickup has the same shape as other Rega heads and is made from a single piece, which allowed to avoid energy losses between the needle and the needle holder. The surface of the needle holder is machined very carefully to obtain maximum contact between the cartridge and the needle holder.
Rega has developed a completely new coil winder, which has enabled coils to be made in a new and innovative way. In this cartridge, a third less wire is used for winding the coil than in other pickups of the same company, which makes the Rega EXACT even more efficient than the Elys model.
Each cartridge is assembled by hand and adjusted twice within 24 hours. This method of assembly and control ensures the high quality of REGA Exact heads.
