Only quality solutions
The elegant chassis, manufactured on a CNC machine, is oversized (for increased stability) and available in three finishes: glossy black, white satin, and walnut. Its design is completely free of plastic parts, and carefully thought-out table manufacturing technology has made it possible to avoid voids and prevent unwanted vibrations. Compared to its predecessor, the T2's glass base plate is thicker and heavier, ensuring zero resonances and effectively eliminating the disadvantages of plastic or lightweight steel counterparts. Specially designed feet reliably isolate the T2 from vibrations that can adversely affect the turntable's performance.
Speed control and motor
The drive system of the T2 is similar to that of the T1. The motor drives a belt system connected to a platform designed specifically for the T-series. The sub-disc is mounted on an ultra-precision bearing with a 0.001 mm clearance between the hardened steel axle and the brass bushing. While most competing products use unregulated DC motors with large speed deviations, the T2 uses an electronically regulated AC motor system. In addition, the T2 is equipped with an electronic speed switch between 33 and 45 rpm.
New tonearm and anti-skating system
The T2's tone arm has been improved by using a 9” tube. In addition to the longer effective length and rigid aluminum construction, this tonearm features a new low-friction bearing to compensate for the increased length and diameter - for absolute accuracy in use. The integrated headstock avoids additional vibrations and is a step up from the detachable designs of competitors in this price range! Also, T2 uses a completely new anti-skating spring mechanism, which allows you to maximize the potential of your cartridge.
New phono preamp
The T2 Super Phono is equipped with a high-quality two-stage MM phono stage, which first appeared in the T2 W. The additional PCB space of the T2 Super Phono has allowed for improved design and layout, breathing even more power into the sound quality while increasing durability. If you want to use an MC cartridge, the phono preamplifier can be switched off. High-quality Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge included
Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge
The T2 Super Phono is shipped with a Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge (MSRP in Europe 175 €) with an elliptical diamond needle installed. It is a true Hi-Fi head, without any major compromises.
Semi-balanced phono cable
Just like the T1, the T2 Super Phono is equipped with a shielded, semi-symmetrical, low-capacitance phono cable. A dust cover and felt platter mat are also included.
