Description
The T2 significantly expands on the T1, offering new features and setting the highest standards for its price range.
Product information
The elegant CNC-machined chassis has been enlarged (for increased stability) and is available in three finishes: glossy black, satin white and walnut. Its design is completely devoid of plastic parts, and the carefully thought-out table manufacturing technology has allowed to avoid voids and prevent unwanted vibrations. The T2's glass support disc has become thicker and heavier than its predecessor, ensuring zero structural resonances and effectively eliminating the disadvantages characteristic of plastic or light steel counterparts. Specially designed legs reliably isolate the T2 from vibrations that can negatively affect the player's operation.
The T2's drive system is similar to that of the T1. The motor drives a belt system connected to a platform designed specifically for the T-series. It features a precision bearing with a 0.001mm clearance between the hardened steel shaft and the brass bushing. While most competing products use unregulated DC motors with wide speed variations, the T2 uses an electronically controlled AC motor. In addition, the T2 features electronic speed control between 33 and 45 rpm.
The T2 tonearm has been improved by using a 9” tube. In addition to its longer effective length and rigid aluminum construction, this tonearm has a new low-friction bearing that compensates for the increased length and diameter – for absolute precision in use. The integrated headshell eliminates additional vibrations and is a step up from the competition’s removable designs in this price range! The T2 also features a completely new anti-skating spring mechanism that allows you to fully unleash the potential of your cartridge.
The T2 comes with a Sumiko Rainier MM cartridge (RRP €175 in Europe) with an elliptical diamond stylus. It is a true Hi-Fi cartridge, without serious compromises.
