Product information
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO vinyl player is a new stage in the development of this model, the first release of which took place more than 30 years ago. The device has retained the well-known concise design and general design concept, but has received several new features. In particular, the tonearm of the player now has the ability to adjust the VTA angle and azimuth for installing different cartridges. The Pro-Jet Debut PRO also uses damped aluminum supports that are adjustable in height.
The chassis of the Pro-Ject Debut PRO player is made of MDF, which is traditional for most of the company's models. However, in this case, it received an 8-layer coating that is applied manually. Another innovation in the design of the device is the nickel coating of the bearing and the tonearm counterweight. The tonearm itself on the Pro-Ject Debut PRO player is proprietary, made of carbon (outer layer) and aluminum (inner tube). The shell on the tonearm is made integrated, with standard holes for mounting the pickup.
The player is equipped with a wonderful Pick It PRO B MM cartridge, released by Pro-Ject in collaboration with Ortofon specifically for this model. However, the considerable flexibility of the tonearm adjustment in the Pro-Ject Debut PRO allows you to install various pickups on it, including MC. The latter circumstance was made possible by equipping the player with an aluminum support disk. This is also an innovation for the models of this series. The disk is damped using TPE to dampen unwanted vibrations.
The Pro-Ject Debut PRO is equipped with a belt drive through a subdisk from a low-noise AC motor, mechanically decoupled from the chassis. To ensure a stable record rotation speed, the player uses a proprietary circuit based on a precision generator. The Pro-Ject Debut PRO model uses electronic speed switching of 33.1/3 or 45 rpm using a toggle switch (also nickel-plated). The player comes with a branded Connect It E phono cable and a dust cover.
