The large jog wheels are responsive, reliable and easy to operate, reminiscent of the classic CDJ models. Each jog wheel is equipped with a display showing the position of the playback cursor, so you can understand the current position on the track. You can also adjust the jog wheel sensitivity to find the perfect jog weight.
The sleek and stable MAGVEL FADER is able to transmit any small movement for precise scratching. The DDJ-REV5's long tempo sliders for dynamic performances are located horizontally above the deck sections, while the touch keys and Lever FX are in the mixer section, imitating the layout of the PLX series deck and DJM-S series mixer, which is loved by open-format DJs.

The close arrangement of the pads, levers and faders allows you to combine scratching with playing the touch keys and effects. The stem buttons on the DDJ-REV5 make it easy to create live mashups and remixes. Tracks will be split into stems in the software – vocals, melody, bass and drums in Serato DJ Pro or vocals, drums and instruments (other instruments including bass and synths) in rekordbox – for separate playback.

Stems Mute/Solo - Mute or solo different stems to create mashups on the fly.

Stems Separate - Separate different stems of a track onto separate decks for live remixes.

Stems Level - Adjust the volume of individual stems using the EQ knobs. Different stems can be used in combination with Deck Move to easily create and control multiple live mashups and remixes at once. The new Auto BPM Transition feature makes it easy to mix music genres with different tempos. Select the number of bars to transition and at the touch of a button, the track will gradually change tempo to match the tempo of the track on the other deck, allowing you to mix or insert a new track seamlessly. You can also set Stems, Auto Loop and Key Lock during the transition. As with Pitch Play, you can use the 16 touch keys to trigger cue points in different semitones.

In the new Piano Play mode, the pitch changes are made so that the touch keys form a piano, with the “white” keys on the bottom row and the “black” keys on the top row. Even if you don’t have a deep understanding of music theory and key types, you can easily play a melody by selecting one of 3 keys.

With a wide range of inputs and outputs, including an XLR master output, ideal for use in a professional environment, the DDJ-REV5 can be used as the center of a large-scale setup. This model also features 2 USB Type-C ports for PC/Mac connectivity, so you can easily switch between DJs with the flick of a switch on the controller.
