The NAD C338 integrated amplifier is one of the most functionally equipped models of this class in the company's catalog and is quite capable of becoming the basis of a modern stereo system. The device is built using proprietary HybridDigital technology, which is a modified class D circuitry with a variable signal modulation frequency. As a result, the sound quality of the NAD C338 was further improved, bringing it as close as possible to analog. Thanks to the use of Hypex UcD modules, it was possible to achieve a nominal power of 160 W and a peak power of 300 W, so even the most complex musical compositions sound dynamic and natural on the NAD C338.
What makes this model a true all-rounder is its wide range of connections. The analog part of the amplifier is represented by two linear and MM inputs, which can be considered quite sufficient in modern conditions. In addition, the NAD C338 is equipped with two optical and two coaxial inputs, thanks to which the signal can be sent to the amplifier from a TV or media set-top box. However, what makes this model a truly universal and virtually self-sufficient device as part of a Hi-Fi system is the presence of a built-in Chromecast. Thanks to this, using the proprietary mobile application, the amplifier can listen to high-quality musical compositions stored on available network devices, as well as connect to various online services. Connection to the network is made without using a cable, via Wi-Fi. This model also provides the ability to connect to mobile devices via Bluetooth.
The device has convenient and intuitive controls, and on its front panel there is an easy-to-read backlit LCD display. Two buttons allow you to select the desired input, and a large knob is used to adjust the volume level. To change the character of the sound, there is a 6 dB bass boost button, which can be used, for example, when listening to music at low volume. The NAD C338 comes with a small, full-featured remote control and is equipped with subwoofer and headphone outputs.
