NAD introduces the new C 588 turntable. This turntable takes a serious approach to high sound quality, with many design elements designed specifically for this turntable. In particular, this concerns the new tonearm with a carbon fiber tube, on the metal shell of which an Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge with an elliptical stylus is standardly installed. A belt drive drives a rather massive glass platter, while a solid medium-density fiberboard body rests on anti-vibration feet. The AC motor is equipped with an electronic control unit for rotational accuracy, and the dust cover is designed in such a way as to eliminate the occurrence of parasitic resonances in the system. The turntable is supplied with a template for accurately setting the vertical following angle and stylus azimuth.
