Product information
This rating is listed in the M6si500 specifications as RMS (Root Mean Square) rather than PMPO (Peak Short Time Power). However, this device does not operate in Class D and a distortion factor of less than 0.1% is specified for this power. That is, this device is really capable of delivering half a kilowatt of high-quality sound to the speakers.
The M6si500 is built using a dual mono design. Each amplifier section has its own radiator and separate transformer, and the previous one has its own power winding.
The five input jacks connect directly to the amplifier's main board rather than through wired connections. This ultra-short signal path provides ultra-low impedance to instantaneous sources entering the M6si500.
Moreover, there are 12 large bipolar transistors in each channel? therefore, peak power of 200 amps is readily available.
Additionally, precision digital volume control using laser-trimmed resistors ensures perfect tracking of even the lowest listening levels.
This attention to detail ensures superior performance. For example, distortion levels are very low at around 0.008% at 1kHz and 0.015% at 20kHz and only increase slightly to 0.02% at ultra-high frequencies of 30-50kHz. The signal-to-noise ratio is also minimal.
The M6si500 has excellent linearity and stability, allowing it to drive any powerful speaker. It sounds light, smooth and dynamic: just like the best amps should.
