The Monitor Audio Bronze 500 floorstanding speakers are the flagship of the new Bronze 6G range. Significant changes have been made to the acoustics of the series, both in terms of design and construction. And yet they have retained the recognizable appearance and overall sound character that have made them very popular among music lovers around the world.
Monitor Audio Bronze 500 have a strict, and at the same time attractive and expensive appearance, characteristic of high-end acoustics. The front panel of the speakers has a single-color coating, which allows it to contrast well with the rest of the body, the coating of which can have several finishing options. Monitor Audio Bronze 500 is equipped with acoustically transparent protective grids of an original shape with invisible magnetic fixation. To give the speakers the necessary stability, taking into account the relatively small width of their cabinets, Monitor Audio Bronze 500 are equipped with supports that extend from the sides beyond the base. The height of the supports is adjusted from above, which is very convenient, and they themselves can be spikes or rubber feet.
The Monitor Audio Bronze 500 has a 2.5-way configuration and features two 8-inch woofers with C-CAM combination cones. Their white ceramic coating has long been one of the most recognizable features of Monitor Audio acoustics. However, the geometry of the driver cones in the new Monitor Audio Bronze 500 speakers has been redesigned to further increase rigidity and completely dampen any resonances. The low-frequency speakers are loaded with an efficient HiVe II bass reflex with low noise level.
The tweeter in the speakers has also been improved. It has a gold-plated C-CAM dome, is housed in a sound guide that flattens its polar pattern, and is covered with a newly designed mesh. The speakers are fastened with a steel bolt, which ensures good damping and also further increases the overall rigidity of the housing. The speakers use a crossover filter made from selected components and are internally wired with Pureflow silver-plated copper cable. There are two pairs of reliable gold-plated screw terminals for connection to the amplifier.
