At the heart of it is the flagship BD34301EKV chip from ROHM Semiconductor. But it’s not just what’s inside that matters, but how it’s implemented. And the implementation here is true Japanese perfectionism: separate stabilized power supplies for different components, a well-thought-out circuit, a massive case with proper damping, a branded arrow indicator — everything works for the result.
The DA-07X doesn’t try to impress you with a “wow effect” in the first 30 seconds. It impresses with its depth.
The stage is wide and very multi-layered. The instruments have air around them, but they don’t break up into analytical fragments.
The bass is dense, textural, with a sense of mass.
The midrange is lively, bodily, with the same Luxmanian nobility. Vocals sound natural, without artificial lighting.
The top is clean and detailed, but not at all aggressive. No digital sharpness — only transparency and control.
It's a delivery that resembles a good analog track: lots of microdynamics, calm confidence, and a very “adult” character.
