Product information
The Klipsch RP-6000F two-way floorstanding speaker from the updated Reference Premiere series is a versatile speaker system that does an excellent job of reproducing movie soundtracks in a multi-channel home theater and ensures accurate transmission of all musical nuances in a stereo system.
The high-frequency band is handled by a compression tweeter with a rigid titanium membrane, which is lightweight and quick to respond. In front of the membrane there is a miniature phasing core calculated using a computer program, which protects the diaphragm from damage and acts as a mechanical filter designed to equalize the frequency response. The tweeter is paired with a Tractrix hybrid horn, the front of which is made of injection-molded silicone to reduce resonances. The peculiarity of Tractrix is the hybrid combination of a cone-shaped funnel with a horn, and the bend of its walls coincides with the shape of the geometric curve of the tractrix. This technology makes it possible to direct the sound stream directly to the listener, so that it does not dissipate as much as in conventional tweeters without a horn, which reduces the number of reflections of sound waves from the walls of the room. The result is a cleaner, more detailed and natural sound. The vented design of the tweeter body eliminates standing waves behind the diaphragm, and LST (Linear Travel Suspension) technology ensures smooth piston movement of the diaphragm, which helps minimize distortion. The tweeter is equipped with a highly efficient magnetic system.
To transmit mid/low frequencies, the Klipsch RP-6000F uses a pair of 6.5” speakers. Their diffusers are made of a lightweight, rigid material - ceramic metal (Cerametallic) with a copper coating. The speakers use double-layer coils, which are wound with purified copper wire, powerful magnets and are equipped with an anti-resonance frame made of stamped steel.
The speaker is assembled in an acoustically inert MDF housing. At its rear there is a bass reflex port made in the form of a Tractrix horn, which makes it possible to minimize turbulence, eliminate noise and speed up the passage of air flow. The result is clean, powerful bass with negligible distortion.
A magnetic grille is used to protect the speakers. The speaker has two pairs of screw terminals. At the bottom of the cabinet is a platform with cast aluminum legs, which allows the speaker to tilt slightly backwards and ensures effective decoupling from the floor. Several finishes are available using vinyl film and a piano lacquer option.
