Product information
The Klipsch RP-500M bookshelf speaker systems have convenient proportions for placement in a residential interior, and at the same time are able to provide high sound volume. The speakers are made in MDF cases with a textured vinyl film finish to imitate natural wood. The Klipsch RP-500M's front panels exude sophistication with beautiful speaker surrounds that match the woofer cone, as well as the new Tractrix horn with its sleek interior design. The speaker is equipped with a removable magnetic grid on magnetic holders, the presence of which can make the appearance of the speakers more calm, and the absence of it can make the appearance of the speakers more striking and aggressive.
The Klipsch RP-500M features a 5.25-inch woofer with a Ceametallic composite cone. The diffuser has a multilayer structure and consists of a magnesium-aluminum alloy and ceramics, with an external copper coating. The result is a rigid and light structure. Cerametallic cones are traditionally used in the woofers of high-end Klipsch acoustics and provide these speakers with powerful and sophisticated bass.
The speakers feature an updated Tractrix horn, made of silicone-based composite material. The horn contains a 1-inch titanium dome tweeter, the suspension of which ensures its linear movement without distortion. There are holes in the rear of the tweeter housing that eliminate internal standing waves. Thanks to the tweeter's extended frequency response, the Klipsch RP-500M's crossover setting is set to a relatively low value of 1500 Hz. Thanks to this, it was possible to obtain a natural and articulate transmission of vocals and acoustic musical instruments.
On the rear panel of the Klipsch RP-500M is a patented Tractrix bass reflex port, which has high efficiency and low acoustic noise. These speakers are perfect for both stereo systems and home theaters, and thanks to their high sensitivity, they make modest demands on the output power of the connected amplifier.
