The Klipsch RP-5000F model belongs to the updated Reference Premiere brand line and is designed to work as part of a multi-channel home theater, as well as in conventional stereo systems.

The speaker is equipped with an inch high-frequency compression driver (tweeter), placed in a hybrid Tractrix horn, the front part of which is made of injection-molded silicone to reduce resonances. The hybrid combines a conical funnel and a conventional horn, the side walls of which are curved in the shape of a tractrix. Thanks to this technology, it is possible to direct sound waves precisely at the listener and minimize their unwanted reflections from the walls of the room, ultimately providing clear, detailed and natural sound. The lightweight, durable dome tweeter is made of titanium. According to the manufacturer, such a tweeter is superior in efficiency to options with aluminum, polymer and even silk domes. A phase equalizer calculated using computer software is installed in front of the membrane, which not only protects it from damage, but also represents a mechanical filter that equalizes the frequency response. The speaker cabinet has a vented design that eliminates standing waves that can occur behind the diaphragm. Linear Travel Suspension technology is used, which promotes more precise piston movement of the membrane, thereby reducing distortion to zero. The tweeter has a high-performance magnetic system.

The mids and lows in the Klipsch RP-500 are handled by a pair of 5.25-inch drivers with diffusers made of Cerametallic with copper coating. This material is lightweight, rigid and provides quick response. The drivers have double-layer voice coils wound with copper wire. Reliable anti-resonance baskets made of stamped steel and powerful magnetic systems are also used. The result is negligible distortion and excellent horn tweeter compatibility.

The well-damped body of the Klipsch RP-5000F is made from MDF and features an unusual bass reflex port built into its rear. The port is shaped like a Tractrix horn and creates an ideal environment for rapid airflow while minimizing turbulence and eliminating noise. The floor-standing speaker is equipped with two pairs of screw terminals, with which you can organize bi-wiring or bi-amping.

The model comes in several finishes and comes with a grill with a magnetic mount, and its body sits on a slightly angled platform with cast aluminum legs.
