Description
There are subwoofers that simply add low end, and then there is the RP-1000SW - the one that turns a home theater into a real attraction. Klipsch spent almost three years developing the Reference Premiere subwoofer line, and the result is felt immediately: this is not an addition to the system "just in case", but a full-fledged tool for those who want to feel the bass not only with their ears, but also with their chests.
At the heart of the 10-inch woofer is a copper-wound voice coil with a proprietary Cerametallic coating: a lightweight, extremely rigid material that minimizes cone deformation even at extreme amplitudes. This approach allows you to produce cleaner and more powerful bass, spending less effort on the amplifier - the principle of "higher efficiency, less distortion", which was guided by the founder of the company Paul Klipsch.
Inside the cabinet is a high-efficiency Class D amplifier with 300 watts RMS (up to 600 watts peak) with an analog preamp cascade - this solution keeps the original signal path as clean as possible, providing a natural, "non-digital" sound of low frequencies. The proprietary Aerofoil front slot port with a unique internal geometry minimizes airflow noise, so the bass remains elastic and controlled even at high volumes.
The front location of the speaker and port is not just an engineering decision, but a practical advantage: the RP-1000SW can be placed almost anywhere in the room, without being tied to a corner or wall. If desired, the subwoofer can be easily converted to a wireless connection using the optional Klipsch WA-2 kit - up to four such subwoofers can be combined in one room completely without wires.
On the rear panel - RCA / LFE input, adjustable low-frequency crossover and phase control, which allows you to accurately fit the subwoofer into any speaker system without gaps or "boom" at the junction with the front speakers.
The MDF case is covered with a scratch-resistant vinyl coating in ebony color, which imitates the texture of natural wood. Rounded corners, rubber shock-absorbing feet, metal grille posts, and a fabric acoustically transparent grille complete the premium look worthy of Klipsch's flagship line.
