Through the USB input, it supports up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM, DSD128 (DoP) and DSD256 (native ASIO). It supports up to 24-bit/192kHz PCM and DSD64 (DoP) via coaxial and optical interfaces. The powerful balanced headphone output delivers an impressive 2000 mW at 32 ohms, enough to control and drive the most demanding headphones. The 4-millimeter-thick aluminum housing blocks electromagnetic and radio frequency interference, and the 128-step volume control, easy-to-read OLED display, and remote control make use convenient and comfortable. Additionally, with XLR and RCA outputs on the rear panel, the S-3 can also function as a preamplifier.
