Hana SH MK II is an improved version of the legendary S-series cartridge from the Japanese brand Hana, which has already won the trust of music lovers around the world.
This new cartridge combines the expertise of engineer Masaa Okada-san with cutting-edge technologies from the brand’s high-end models, delivering a flawless reproduction of vinyl sound with a new level of precision, detail and musical emotion.
The main innovation of the Hana SH MK II is a new conical aluminum cantilever with increased rigidity and reduced mass at the tip. This allows for better reproduction of the micro-modulations of the record groove, providing greater clarity, spaciousness and depth of sound. The sound becomes lively, refined and extremely musical - exactly what distinguishes the Hana philosophy.
Key components, including the core, pole pieces and gold-plated contact pins, have undergone cryogenic treatment, which reduces microstructural stresses in the materials and allows for an even more natural and pure sound. The new cartridge body, modeled after the Hana M series, features a Soft Feel Black damping coating that effectively dampens resonances, while a brass top cover with special threaded holes facilitates installation and improves the mechanical connection to the tonearm.
With its increased body weight and high sensitivity, the SH MK II cartridge is better matched to various tonearm types, providing deeper bass, more powerful dynamics and exceptional stability during playback.
