There's something magical about taking the best of a flagship line and putting it in a stand-alone enclosure. The Fyne Audio F701 is just that. Using the technology of the F1 series, this elegant modern speaker concentrates the best of Fyne Audio in a stand-alone speaker format. British assembly, coaxial heart, signature bass - in a compact size, but without any compromises in sound.
The basis of the F701 is a 200 mm coaxial IsoFlare driver with a multi-fiber mid-bass cone and a FyneFlute surround, in the center of which is a 25 mm compression tweeter with a magnesium diaphragm. Both emitters are combined at one point: the acoustic centers of the HF and LF/MF channels coincide, providing perfect time and phase coherence.
The port is directed downwards, and the BassTrax Tractrix diffuser evenly disperses low frequencies in all directions at 360 degrees. This gives a double advantage: deep, controlled bass and significantly greater freedom in placing the speakers relative to the walls. The F701 does not require perfect acoustics - it adapts to the room.
The passive crossover supports bidirectional and has undergone deep cryogenic treatment - a firn process that removes residual stresses in conductors and soldering points. This is not marketing, but an engineering decision aimed at maximum stability and signal purity in the long term.
Luxurious glossy piano lacquer in black, white or walnut veneer is the final touch to the F701’s hand-crafted cabinets. The curved walls are not only eye-catching – they destroy internal standing waves, and the birch multiplex cabinet is additionally reinforced for acoustic neutrality. As an addition, the FS8 stand, designed specifically for this model, is included.
