Product information
The front panel of the Denon DCD-600NE, made of specially processed aluminum, has a slightly curved shaped profile and slightly protrudes above the body. The design is simple, neat and at the same time elegant. The central place is occupied by the CD-drive tray, under which there is an informative two-line fluorescent display. On the right are the main functional buttons: play/pause, stop, rewind and go to the next/previous track, as well as opening the loading mechanism. In the left part there is a button for turning on the power and switching to standby mode. The player is supplemented with a convenient remote control.
An original high-capacity Denon block capacitor (3300 µF) is used in the Denon DCD-600NE to power the analog audio circuitry. In addition, high-quality parts based on the SX1 technology, which is also used in the higher-order models of the NE series, such as the DCD-2500NE and DCD-1600NE, have been introduced into the analog audio circuits after the DAC circuit.
The Denon DCD-600NE model received an anti-vibration metal chassis, and the transformer and printed circuit boards are located and fixed in such a way as to minimize the influence of guidance and interference, especially on the analog part, as well as to reduce resonances and oscillations. The DAC was selected through numerous test listening sessions. The developers settled on a 32-bit chip model with a sampling frequency of 192 kHz. The fact that specially selected high-quality components were used in the chains speaks of the company's serious attitude even to budget devices. The Pure Direct function has two modes, one of which disables the display and digital output, providing natural sound quality. The second disables only the display.
The Denon DCD-600NE plays regular CDs, as well as CD-R/CD-RW and recorded audio in MP3 and WMA formats. There is a Folder Mode function that allows you to play files stored in folders. ID3-Tags (versions 1.x and 2.x) and META-Tags are read. It is worth noting the special setting of the device taking into account the European type of sound.
