DCD-1700NE Black
Description
In an age where streaming has become the norm, the Denon DCD-1700NE is a reminder of why physical media still matters. It's a CD/SACD player designed not to tick off a feature list, but to bring out the best in your disc collection - from regular CDs to Super Audio CDs and DSD files.
The player is based on Advanced AL32 Processing Plus technology, which restores information lost during digital recording using data interpolation, upsampling and bit rate expansion. The result is smooth, detailed playback that is as close as possible to the original sound. The 32-bit TI PCM1795 DAC with the proprietary DAC Master Clock Design system, which suppresses jitter and phase noise, is responsible for digital-to-analog conversion.
Denon developed the disc reading mechanism independently, using the S.V.H (Suppress Vibration Hybrid) hybrid vibration suppression system. It ensures stable reading and eliminates both internal and external resonances. Shortened signal paths and separate power transformers for the digital and analog sections further reduce mutual interference between channels, giving a clean, transparent sound without extraneous noise.
Activating Pure Direct mode turns off the display and unnecessary circuitry not involved in playback, minimizing signal distortion on the way to the output. Combined with a gold-plated analog output, optical and coaxial digital outputs, this makes the DCD-1700NE a worthy partner for any quality amplifier.
In addition to classic CDs and SACDs, the player plays DSD files (2.8 MHz/5.6 MHz), as well as high-resolution files up to 192 kHz/24 bit, recorded on DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW discs.
