The Sonik 5 uses a configuration with two mid-low frequency speakers and a large soft dome tweeter. The proprietary paper and wood fiber diffusers are one of the key technologies of DALI. Such a material allows the speakers to remain light, but at the same time rigid enough to transmit the musical signal as accurately as possible. Thanks to this, the mid frequencies sound very natural and open - vocals, guitars, pianos or stringed instruments are transmitted with that lively texture for which music lovers appreciate DALI acoustics.
The proprietary SMC magnetic system also plays a separate role. It reduces unwanted distortions in the speaker's operation, making the sound cleaner and more accurate. As a result, the acoustics sound light, detailed and very comfortable even during long listening sessions - the music does not press, but literally fills the room.
High frequencies are reproduced by a large 29 mm soft dome tweeter. It adds air, space and good detail to the sound. Cymbals, the rustle of strings or the reverberation of the hall sound very natural, without harshness, but with a lot of small nuances.
Despite the rather compact body, the Sonik 5 is able to reproduce very deep and confident bass. Thanks to the bass reflex design, the speakers sound large and energetic, easily filling the room with sound. At the same time, the bass remains fast and controlled - without hum or overload.
The Black Ash finish looks restrained and at the same time very stylish. The black wood texture goes well with both modern interiors and classic hi-fi systems.
In conclusion, the DALI Sonik 5 is a great option for those who want to switch to floor-standing acoustics and immediately feel the larger scale of the stage, the depth of the bass and the energy of the music. They sound light, lively and very musical - exactly how a true DALI speaker should sound. This is DALI at its best.
