The speakers are mounted in shallow-depth cabinets with a bass reflex and can be used in all channels of home theater systems, or only in the front ones. The symmetrical front panel design of the DALI Rubicon LCR is achieved by mounting both tweeters on a circular panel, the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of a 6.5-inch woofer. The latter is equipped with a diffuser made of wood-paper pulp, mounted on a wide elastic suspension and has a powerful magnetic system, as well as a cast anti-resonance chassis.
When the DALI Rubicon LCR speaker system is placed horizontally, the round panel with HF emitters can be rotated 90 degrees, aligning its radiation pattern and accurately linking the sound to what is happening on the screen. The speaker is equipped with a 17 x 45 mm ribbon tweeter and a 29 mm soft dome tweeter. The crossover filter between them is set to a frequency of 14,000 Hz, which ensures good smoothness of the frequency response and a minimum level of audible distortion. One pair of gold-plated screw terminals is provided for connection to the amplifier. The speaker body is made of thick fiberboard, which has deep damping and is reinforced with internal ties.
The exterior finish of the DALI Rubicon LCR can be done in black or white piano lacquer, or in two types of natural wood. In terms of sound quality, this model is in no way inferior to the speakers of this series, made in cases of classic proportions. At the same time, Rubicon LCRs can be indispensable when it is necessary to place a surround sound system in rooms with insufficient free space for installing floor-standing or bookshelf speakers.
