PowerHAUS M6 EU Mains Block
Description
The Chord PowerHAUS M6 EU is a six-way Master-level power splitter where Chord has applied all of its forty years of experience in cables and power to do what no one has done before: a power splitter that really sounds.
Most audiophiles carefully select their amplifiers, sources, cables—and leave the power to the mercy of a standard supermarket extension cord.
The result of one of The Chord Company’s longest product development cycles, the PowerHAUS M6 features a unique take on the company’s proprietary ARAY technology, the MainsARAY, specifically adapted for power distribution. The flagship M6 features three hybrid MainsARAYs, connected in parallel to the busbars—not in series, and outside the main circuit. That’s the key: no element stands in the way of the current.
Both the M6 and S6 models are switch-free and eschew filters and neon power indicators, which themselves can generate noise and degrade quality. No compromises for convenience—just clean power.
Instead of a star connection that’s vulnerable to RFI, the wiring runs along three isolated busbars connected in parallel. The ground bus is located as far away from the phase and neutral conductors as possible. Thanks to isolated circuits and the maximum distance between the ground bus and the phase, the M6 significantly reduces susceptibility to radio frequency interference, reducing background noise and increasing sound clarity.
The solid aluminum housing minimizes the unwanted effects of microphone noise. The cables inside are heavy gauge, specially selected, and the sockets are chosen not only for reliability, but also for their sonic characteristics. The input is 16-amp IEC, which allows you to power even the most demanding home audio systems.
The reduced background noise level allows you to hear quieter and finer details of the music. Every note becomes cleaner and clearer, the sound is more natural and lively. The PowerHAUS M6 is hand-assembled in England by people who are passionate about music and cinema.
