Description
A subwoofer can either transform a system into something tangible or turn it into chaos. The difference often lies not in the subwoofer itself, but in the cable carrying the signal to it.
Chord EpicX 1RCA to 1RCA Sub is a dedicated subwoofer interconnect cable designed to deliver not just loud, but precise, structured and musical bass.
The cable is built around the proprietary ARAY conductor geometry, which allows for the transmission of musical signals with a high degree of detail and integrity. Tuned ARAY technology was originally developed for Chord’s flagship Sarum series – and now its benefits are available in a cable specifically adapted for subwoofer use.
The cable construction uses three silver-plated conductors with XLPE insulation. The inner PVC jacket reduces mechanical noise and ensures the correct placement of the high-frequency dual-layer combined screen. Additional conductors further enhance the cable’s ability to transmit fine signal details, and the conductors themselves are made of multi-stranded oxygen-free copper with silver plating.
The cable is hand-assembled at Chord and features Chord VEE 3 RCA connectors with straight silver plating - no extra layers between the signal and the contact.
Designed to be the perfect complement to the Epic range, this cable is suitable for any music system, home cinema or gaming environment. Long distances between amplifier and subwoofer are no problem: the cable is available in lengths from 3 to 5 meters and can be made to order in any length.
