Description
The SX50 is a pair of compact hi-fi speakers designed to fit into tight spaces such as bookshelves - hence the name. Despite their modest size, they produce confident, detailed and rich stereo sound, filling small rooms with music the way it should sound. The combination of engineering quality and price makes the SX50s hard to beat.
A solid foundation
Designing a hi-fi speaker starts with the cabinet. Computer Aided Design (CAD) was used extensively to refine the internal structures of the SX50 to ensure that when the drivers vibrate with your music, the cabinet does not. This means that every millimeter of speaker movement is directed where it should be - at you.
Sound reproduction
The SX50 has a 135 mm (5.25") woofer made of treated paper. This has been used by hi-fi manufacturers for years because the paper's impressive strength-to-weight ratio combines with its excellent tonal response to deliver rich, clear and realistic music. The 25mm (1") soft dome tweeters made of treated silk are responsible for the higher frequencies - with the same balance of realism and sophistication.
Built for real life
The SX50's clean, uncluttered design means they can be placed in a variety of locations, and they'll fit in well in any of them. Leave the grills on to protect the drivers from small fingers or to keep them from standing out from books, or remove them to emphasize your great taste in music.
