It is designed for people who want to listen to recordings in exceptional quality without having to choose or install additional components. The Alva ST makes it easy with a built-in cartridge. It also connects to almost any audio system, as it has a built-in switchable phono equalizer. It even works wirelessly with Bluetooth speakers.

Built-in Bluetooth aptX HD frees the Alva ST from the rest of your Hi-Fi. Music can be streamed to any compatible Bluetooth kit, including headphones with Hi-Res quality up to 24bit/48kHz. Or you can deactivate it and just use phono cables - it's up to you.
The Alva ST features a built-in phono equaliser, borrowed from our award-winning Alva Duo, to bring out incredible detail in your recordings. This means you can connect the Alva ST to any amplifier or compatible speaker system. You can also disable the phono stage - ideal if your amp already has one - or leave your upgrade options open.
After many hours of listening, Cambridge Audio chose the Audio-Technica VM95E cartridge to install on the player. Without any complicated settings. The elliptical needle provides a large area of contact with the grooves of the records, ensuring accurate tracking of information and, of course, great sounding music.
The Alva ST uses the proven step-by-step transmission method, complemented by electronic engine speed control. After the first connection, you don't need to look under the drive again. Spin speed is selected via two neat electronic buttons on the ST's top aluminum surface, so you can easily switch between playing albums and singles.
The disc is die-cast from aluminum and machined on a CNC machine, which ensures an absolutely flat and smooth surface. 17mm high aluminum disc with 5mm thick rubber slipmat - a combination proven to reduce unwanted resonance.
After many hours of testing, the engineers chose a new powerful tonearm with low resonance. By minimizing resonant frequencies and in combination with the cartridge, it helps extract maximum detail from your recordings. The removable die-cast aluminum shell makes it easy to replace cartridges and then adjust them.
The Alva ST is built with a 1mm thick aluminum top plate and a vibration absorbing EVA layer over the MDF. It is mounted on a composite chassis and weighs 9 kg. Reliable and durable, as well as with excellent sound-absorbing properties. With a moon gray aluminum top panel and matte black base that tapers to the signature floating wedge base, it matches the minimalist home style.
