Description
The flagship 700 Series center channel speaker features a carbon dome tweeter with Tweeter-On-Top architecture (in a separate enclosure, raised to the top), a 130 mm (5 in.) midrange driver with a Continuum FST™ diffuser – especially important for dialogue clarity – and two woofers with Aerofoil™ diffusers. It is the perfect partner for speakers such as Bowers & Wilkins 705 S3, 703 S3 and 702 S3.
Product information
Uncompromising vocal performance
Now the HTM71 S3 is equipped with Tweeter-on-Top technology, which is separated in its own housing on top of the speaker system (Tweeter-on-Top), which ensures perfect integration with similarly equipped models of the 700 series in a surround sound system.
House of high frequencies
The 700 Series features the latest generation of the iconic Tweeter-on-Top tweeter architecture. Its new, more elongated shape has a longer loading tube system, which provides an even more free and open sound at high frequencies. The carefully separated body is made from a single block of aluminum to better resist resonance.
Clearer detailing
The carbon dome tweeters are specially designed for the 700 series. Providing a significant improvement over the aluminum double dome tweeter, they raise the resonance threshold to 47kHz, increasing the accuracy and detail of the sound reproduction.
Really amazing sound
Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ diffuser avoids the sudden changes in behavior that can degrade the sound of a conventional speaker. The result is a more open, neutral sound that provides precision and transparency in the reproduction of voices and instruments.
Cleanliness and transparency
Each three-way speaker of the new 700 series has a special mid-frequency driver with four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: Continuum diffuser, FST™ suspension, Biomimetic Suspension (bionic suspension of the centering washer) and vibration isolation of the mid-frequency section, which ensures minimal interference from the speaker's woofers.
The triumph of science
Designed using advanced computer modeling techniques, the Aerofoil™ woofer diffuser has variable thickness, providing stiffness where it's needed most. The result is a deep and dynamic bass.
