Providing a dramatic improvement over the aluminum dual-dome woofer, they raise the first resonance frequency to 47 kHz, delivering high accuracy and detail in the sound image. A longer loading tube contributes to an even freer and more open sound at high frequencies. The carefully decoupled mechanical enclosure is milled from a solid block of aluminum to better resist resonances.

It dramatically reduces the unwanted air pressure and sound coloration associated with a traditional fabric centering washer. The result? Incredible midrange transparency you wouldn't expect. Combined with the curved design, this new approach, borrowed from the 800 Diamond series, reduces the contribution of the cabinet itself, creating a clearer, more open and more immersive sound.
