Bang & Olufsen's Beolit 20 is a portable speaker system that combines over a decade of Scandinavian design thinking with cutting-edge acoustic technology. The fourth generation of the legendary Beolit line is not just an update, it's a statement about what true premium sound should be like outside the home.
The heart of Beolit 20 is the proprietary True360 technology, developed by Bang & Olufsen engineers for even and natural sound distribution in all directions. Wherever you place the speaker - freely in the middle of the room, against a wall or in a corner - it equally confidently fills the space from 10 to 50 square meters. At the heart of the speaker system is one 5.5-inch full-range woofer with a long-throw cone, three 1.5-inch full-range speakers and two 4-inch passive bass radiators. All this is driven by two Class D amplifiers with a peak power of 240 watts. The result is a rich, transparent sound with tight bass and a clear midrange, devoid of any distortion even at high volumes.
The Beolit silhouette was born in 2012 in collaboration with Danish designer Cecile Manz - and still does not need to apologize for its past. In the 2020 version, it has received an updated perforation: oblique lines and spiral corners form a sophisticated geometric pattern with 45% air permeability, which is both an aesthetic and acoustic solution. The top panel neatly integrates Qi wireless charging - no unnecessary elements, no compromise on form. Metal, leather strap-handle, neutral colors Grey Mist and Black Anthracite - Beolit 20 looks as appropriate on a bookshelf as on a summer terrace.
Beolit 20 not only plays music - it also takes care of your devices. The built-in Qi wireless charging pad on the top panel charges your smartphone or headphones while the music plays. The device itself charges via USB-C; a fast 45-watt charger is included. The 3200 mAh battery provides up to 37 hours of playback at background volume or over 8 hours of intensive listening - 30% more than its predecessor Beolit 17.
Two Beolit 20s connect wirelessly in a stereo pair with a single touch - and the space between them becomes a real sound stage. The system is also compatible with Beolit 17 in party mode, where both devices play the same signal for greater coverage. The Bang & Olufsen app with Beosonic equalizer allows you to fine-tune the sound character to suit your mood and genre.
