Their teardrop-shaped enclosure has no parallel surfaces, which reduces standing waves and sound. The R1 is based on the technologies used in the older R 6 and R 3 models.
In order to take full advantage of the Audiovector tweeters and hand-assembled midrange/woofer with aramid composite diaphragms, the front panel is narrow. The result is a smooth, precise sound distribution - an “out-of-the-box” sound that reduces unwanted diffraction distortion to an absolute minimum.
