The AudioQuest Forest HDMI cable uses a single-core conductor made of long-crystalline copper, which does not introduce distortion into the transmitted signal. To expand the bandwidth necessary for digital data transmission, the conductor is covered with a layer of silver.
To protect the transmitted signal from external interference, the cable uses full shielding. Special technology provides protection against charge accumulation in the screen, which could lead to a decrease in its efficiency.
The foamed dielectric in the cable is made of a synthetic material with excellent insulating properties and is filled with nitrogen. Such a dielectric has almost no effect on the transmitted signal. Due to its high rigidity, the insulation holds the conductors in the center of the cable, due to which the electrical characteristics of the AudioQuest Forest HDMI do not change along its entire length.
The cable is equipped with connectors in molded cases with gold-plated contacts.
