B-Fi Multiroom Music Streamer

The Audioengine company presented a compact B-Fi multiroom streamer. For integration into a computer network, the device uses only a Wi-Fi wireless connection, and the output switching is more diverse here - the device is equipped with an analog output on RCA connectors, as well as a digital optical port, which allows you to use it in tandem with an external DAC unit.

There is only a power button on the front of the streamer. It acts as a device status indicator. The power supply unit is external, for connecting it to the streamer, the latter is equipped with a microUSB port.

To set up and control the streamer, the proprietary application for mobile gadgets Audioengine Control is available in the Apple AppStore and Google PlayMarket absolutely free. Along with standard streamer functions, B-Fi supports the ability to work as an audio renderer. That is, for example, when using any streaming service on a smartphone, you can simply specify B-Fi as an output device, and the music will sound through a large audio system. At the same time, up to 12 B-Fi streamers can work in the system at the same time (Audioengine recommends limiting yourself to 8). Thus, you can create a distributed audio system at home. Audioengine promises to provide decent playback quality and minimal signal delay when streaming music.

Among other things, the streamer also supports Airplay, which allows you to stream music directly from a smartphone or tablet.

The delivery includes a power adapter and two cables - microUSB for powering the device and analog RCA for connecting to an amplifier or active speaker systems.
