The AT-LP8X turntable can play records at 33-1/3, 45 and 78 rpm. It is powered by a direct-drive motor, which is controlled by a speed sensor, ensuring continuous precise record rotation. The tonearm is equipped with an ultra-lightweight AT-LT10 head and an AT-VM95E cartridge with an elliptical stylus. To reduce resonance, the 25 mm aluminum platter is rubber-damped and has a 2.5 mm rubber slipmatt. In addition, the sturdy MDF enclosure houses a switching power supply and feet that can be individually adjusted to further reduce unwanted noise and vibration. The result is superior tonal quality, excellent channel separation and low distortion.
The AT-VM95 series cartridge includes a replaceable stylus available in five different styles. In addition to the included AT-VM95E elliptical stylus, you can use the AT-VMN95EN elliptical stylus, AT-VMN95ML microlinear stylus, AT-VMN-95SH stylus, or the AT-VMN95SP 78 RPM stylus, which is available separately.
