I/50 Black & White RET

Functionally simple, visually appealing and musically sublime – the I/50 offers a completely new way of listening to music. Handcrafted in Minnesota, the I/50 is crafted with the same attention to detail as all Audio Research products – each one even undergoes its own listening test with sound designer Warren Gehl. Available in six colors, the I/50 has a Cerakote coating for a beautiful and durable look. The modular design allows you to install two audio modules – Phono Stage and D/A Converter (will be available in 2022). A high-current amplifier with a capacity of 50 W per channel is able to work with various speakers. A headphone jack allows for personal listening time.

The I/50 is designed for ease of use and features three top panel controls - power, input and volume. Two LexieTubes® provide input and volume selection information. Two matching pairs of 6550WE vacuum tubes along with three 6922 tubes sit in front of the perforated transformer cover. Three single-ended inputs and one XLR input provide connection to most systems, as well as 4- and 8-ohm speaker taps for your choice of speaker placement. One input can be assigned to an end-to-end function. A full-featured metal remote control provides additional functions and operation. A tubular cage will be available as an option.

Like all Audio Research products, the I/50 is completely manufactured in our Minnesota facility by a team of skilled technicians and skilled craftsmen. The I/50, available in six colors, is the first product completely finished in-house. Audio Research's processing lab includes a dedicated paint facility and laser imaging and marking machines to achieve a luxurious finish normally only found on much more expensive products. Cerakote finishes are not only beautiful, they are designed to be durable and easy to maintain.

The I/50's performance belies its compact design. Fully vacuum 50W tubes charge your speakers with beautiful and realistic music. Designed by Audio Research's engineering team and tuned by Warren Hehl, the I/50 has received the same level of care and attention as our Reference Series products. The I/50's ability to reproduce the musical experience thrills and excites everyone who hears it. Thanks to its powerful power supply and powerful design, the I/50 provides controlled and dynamic reproduction - even on complex speakers. The Phono module provides 42dB of gain, allowing for a wide selection of high power moving magnet and moving coil cartridges. The digital-to-analog converter will have several connection options and a set of decoding formats for a wide range of music formats and resolutions. The I/50 is a truly integrated product that delivers Audio Research's renowned specifications and sound quality.
