PH100 Black
Description
MM/MS phono stage with the ability to adjust load parameters, gain 40 dB (MM); 46/52 dB (MC), input impedance 100 Ohm - 47 kOhm, outputs: RCA, dimensions 320 x 65 x 220 mm, weight 2.5 kg.
The Atoll PH100 phono stage is designed to work with MM and MC type pickups, and with high technical parameters it is offered at a very affordable price. The device is made in a metal case with a thick aluminum front panel, on which there are no controls - they are all located at the back. Laconic design, small size and high quality workmanship will allow Atoll PH100 to fit seamlessly into an existing set of Hi-Fi equipment.
The phono stage is equipped with a power supply with two low-noise mains transformers - one for each channel. The power supply also contains high-speed rectifier diodes, a block of high total capacitance capacitors and four independent voltage regulators. The power supply is enclosed in a separate metal casing to prevent electromagnetic interference from affecting the operation of sensitive electronic circuits.
The Atoll PH100 phono preamplifier is built on discrete components, carefully selected to achieve optimal RIAA performance. There are no coupling capacitors in the signal transmission circuits, and the entire circuit of the device is designed on the dual mono principle. The rear panel of the Atoll PH100 contains gold-plated RCA jacks for connecting the turntable pickup and line amplifier, as well as miniature DIP switches. With their help, you can adjust the phono input parameters and gain for optimal matching with different models of phono cartridges.
The device has good versatility and, given its balanced and dynamic sound over a wide frequency range, can be recommended for working with high-end vinyl players. Atoll PH100 will be an excellent solution for completing various systems not only based on components from this French brand, but also any others. If you use the Atoll PH100 instead of the integrated circuits built into AV receivers and integrated amplifiers, you can get a significant increase in the sound quality of vinyl players without using other upgrade methods.
